The Gherdëina Valley Val Gardena or Gröden in German is a valley situated in Trentino AltoAdige, Sudtirol, in the Dolomites Mountains and is crossed by Gardena, a 25 km long river.
The valley is a very famous place for ski and winter sports tourism activities, as well as for hosting many International Alpine Skiing events FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.
The valley is comprised of three villages winter mountain resorts: Ortisei Sf.Ulrich, Santa Cristina and Selva Wolkenstein.
